I guess the best way to describe our photographs is modern romantic. Romantic poses in modern locations or modern poses in romantic locations. Either way the moments are genuine and the personalities shine through in every shot. Our overall approach to our photographs is more journalistic and documentative with artful thought and planning to be in the right place at the right time.

We really like using natural light but have been known to create our own. We don't overwhelm people with a parade of gear, it tends to distract people from the moment and intimidate the camera shy. Stealth is a word that describes our presence, it's our way of capturing the candid moment plus having the two-person team advantage of being in two places at once.

You'll be spending some quality time with the photographer on your weding day and we intend for you to wake-up the next day to share your first cup of coffee as Mr. & Mrs. Recalling the events of the day and rejoiceing in the fact that you chose Red Door to take the pics. We're not only good at it but we're fun to hang with too.

Heath Fletcher

Heath has a way of just making you feel comfortable, a great sense of humor (even though he can't remember a joke).  While providing an atmosphere that is comfortable and easy going he is able to create beautifully romantic and spontaneous images that will take your breath away. A graduate of Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, BC his 18 year career brings a wealth of experience and confidence that Heath loves to share not only with our clients but with the entire Red Door team.

Carolyn Charlton

An artist at heart Carolyn has been passionately photographing the blissful moments of peoples lives for 18 years. Carolyn's ability to find the expressive moment is instinctive and her charming personality blends into any situation. Carolyn too is a graduate of Western Academy of Photography from the West Coast, her experiences as a photographer, a wife and a mom have been merged to create a well equipped member of any bridal party supplying everything from baby wipes to lipstick.

Jeff Bassett

Jeff is an award winning Canadian photojournalist with over 20 years of shooting everything from federal political campaigns to NHL Stanley Cup finals. Having worked for 16 years as the Chief Photographer for the Ottawa Sun he was looking for different challenges so Jeff took a leap of faith and moved his wife and their twin boys to Vernon. Jeff lends his amazing experience as a professional along with his spontaneous photo-journalistic style. Add that to a great sense of humor and passion for photography and you’ll find yourself smiling the day away.

Cory Bialecki

What more can we say about Cory other than he is a passionate, uber-talented photographer and best of all he is fun to hang out with too. Cory is a professionally trained photographer, and is also a graduate from Victoria’s Western Academy of Photography. Cory has a flare for photo-journalism and has been published numerous times in in the Vernon Daily News, Kelowna Courier, Vancouver Province and The Calgary Herald. It is great working with Cory, he is a fantastic addition to the team and he will no doubt leave a lasting impression with those that get to spend time with him.

Sarah Kwantes

Talk about a smile that can brighten your day Sarah has a passion for life and its contagious. Sarah brings this enthusiasm for life to every event and it shines through in her images. Whether Sarah is behind the camera or helping out when an extra hand is needed she will be sure to put a smile on the faces around her and she loves to jump whenever given the opportunity.

Everest Tataryn

Everest has an eye for the romantic and loves documenting the day as the story unfolds. Everest is a dad, a husband and a great guy to have on your team. He brings his friendly energy and enthusiasm everywhere he goes and shares his love of photography with everyone he meets. Without a doubt you'll enjoy the time you spend with him on your wedding day and that will shine through in your images.

Tracy Austin

Tracy’s passion lies in making sure the creative parts fit together in a timely and efficient manner. Tracy works closely with the clients to ensure that their project or event is everything they planned for and more! Tracy will work closely with all services required for each project and event. Tracy’s strong marketing background includes coordination of benefit concerts, Christmas Homes Tour, Hike for Hospice, ground breaking ceremonies, capital campaign launch, customer appreciation and other civic events.

Chelsea Huebert

Chelsea’s modest personality would cause her to blush with such commentary but this girl has a true gift to design. Chelsea is an artist with an amazing career ahead of her, we are very fortunate to have her join us on her creative journey. Chelsea has a very remarkable ability to translate ideas with accuracy, you may think that should be easy but that is much easier said than done.

Geoff Lister

Geoff is young, driven and he brings his passion for photography with him wherever he goes. He has his finger on the technology pulse so we all rely on Geoff to keep us up to date on the latest plugins, presets, actions, software, tips, tricks, apps and blogs. Geoff is a resident social marketing genius and thankfully he loves to share his knowledge. Geoff has pure talent and we will all be watching his career with great enthusiasm but for the meantime he will always be welcome back when he returns home from spending his wet winters on the coast at UBC.

Tim Brown

We welcome Tim Brown, he is here through a local agency called Journey to Successful Employment on a 3 month placement. Tim’s dream is to become a photographer and through this program he has been given an opportunity to be immersed in the industry and work, learn and participate in the day to day operations of the studio. He is here to learn as much as he can from us so if Tim can be of any assistance to you on any projects he is willing and able.
